Vadanamkurussi school has played a unique role in moulding the educational status of the people in the locality for years.The school was started in 1912 by DH Nanboothiripad of desamangalam as a L.P.School in 1958. it was handed over to the government and hence was upgraded as Highschool.It was again upgraded as Higher secondary in 1998. There 31 divisions and 1343 students altogether studying in this school.The school is situated in Ongallur panchayath.
